What kink means to me and how I use it in my photography.
I was introduced to the kink lifestyle in 2018, from my ex-girlfriend and now best friend, who opened my eyes to a whole new world. Kink is not just the stereo type of BDSM that people remember when all things were taboo. The kink community is accepting all that you know about yourself and giving yourself the freedom to feel alive in every pleasurable moment. BDSM is an outlet, allowing me to feel free and escape from the everyday. It has allowed me to grow as a person and become more confident in my choices. Doing BDSM photography has allowed me help others to not only expose but explore a new side of themselves showing others the wonders that they enjoy. I look at my photography as a window to show case the amazing things this community has to offer. Using the following scene as an example: Image a dark room with only a chair placed in the center of the room, at the foot of the chair is a short metal chain with beautiful leather cuffs attached to the front of each leg. Draped over the seat of the chair you see long cotton rope to use for many naughty things. Will you be tied to the chair? Will this rope decorate your skin in beautiful Shabari Knotts leaving beautiful marks across the skin? or will this rope be used to smack, trace and caress the skin making your nerves crave go wild. Off to the right is a table lit just enough barley showing the tips of the tools that could be used to please and torture and tantalize the body, mind and soul. In the background is a figure dressed in leather holding a tool of pleasure waiting for a willing victim to come and sit in the chair. Photography allows me to bring this picture to life and allows the mind to wonder and think of the possibilities that this image has to offer.

Hi I'm Rick. I started RTSY Visuals several years ago. I was in Costco and bought my first Canon DSLR. It sat in the box for a year as I was scared of all the buttons and settings. I took a series of courses at my local Visual Arts School and learned the exposure triangle, lighting and other techniques.
My daytime job is stressful and corporate. Being one of those ' out of the box' thinkers my job was crushing my spirit. Photography gives me a creative outlet. I enjoy collaborating with people that have wierd and odd ideas. The people that reach out to me want to do something different than the typical boudoir and lingerie shoots. I have developed my unique style from the quirky concepts of my collaborators and my own love of the unusual.
I have recently started working more with the kink community. They are more open to creating freaky and avant-garde images. Suspended from the ceiling with rope, wrapped in chains, bloody wedding dress in a shower, making a banana split all have been created with kinky folks. Those sessions were super fun to shoot. I love doing something different and collaborating with interesting people.
If you're looking for a judgement free creative session, I'm the artsy photographer to contact!
